The Mins went to a basketball game tonight! Unfortunately the Raptors didn't win but we had a fun time. Thanks, Dad for the tickets!

#ComeTogether (with Tim on Thanksgiving)

The Quatchis and I have been following the Blue Jays all summer. We're happy to see that they pulled through last night. Game four of the ALDS is this afternoon. We'll be cheering from my parents' place.

This cute little bear is our new friend, Tim. You might recognize him from the Minions movie. Colin was teaching him the rules of baseball when we were watching the game. The two of them will be with BC for a bit to keep him company.

To our fellow Canadians, Happy Thanksgiving! May your gatherings be as fun as they are tasty!

Sarah + Blue Jays

My good friend, Sarah, is from Vancouver. She originally purchased Q and mailed him across Canada in a nice squishy envelop so he would have a comfy journey. Sarah knew I wanted a Quatchi when I visited her on the west coast. I resisted at the time, thinking I had too many stuff animals.

Recently, Sarah came to visit Toronto. We haven't seen each other in over five years, so it was a real treat to host her for a few days. Hanging out was like old times. We've only known each other for...oh, you know...OVER 20 YEARS!

Leading up to Sarah's visit, Q was super excited and could hardly sleep. He was so happy to give her hugs when she stayed with us. It was a nice reunion.

On Tuesday night, we went to the Rogers Centre to cheer on our fellow Blue Jays. We had a swell time pigging out on ballpark food, doing the wave, and watching the game. Unfortunately our guys lost to the Red Sox but they made it up the day after.

Thanks for coming to visit us, Sarah!

The Good Old Hockey Game

Q's favourite sport is hockey so he's glad to be cheering on the Canadian men tonight. He'll also be cheering on the Canadian women tomorrow in the gold medal game. Here's hoping for the best!

More McQuatch

Earlier this month, Q showed off two toys he got from McDoanld's. Well, the lucky guy just got another one - the luging Quatchi! Here's Q checking out the three toys linked together.

And here's the luging Quatchi up close. When you roll the toy forward, Quatchi's arms rise and his face changes.

Congrats to Felix Loch of Germany, Tatjana Huefner of Germany, and the Linger brothers of Austria for their gold medal luging wins!

We're Golden!

Finally! Alexandre Bilodeau won the men's moguls freestyle skiing title last night, claiming the first Olympic gold medal to be won by a Canadian on home soil. Woohoo! Here's Q reading up on Bilodeau's win in the Toronto Star this morning.

To celebrate, Q brought out this giant golden M+M. He's hoping that the Canadians win many more medals over the next two weeks. So far we have one gold, one silver, and one bronze.

In other news, Quatch Watch was recently featured for the second time on Quatchi Watch. S and E post a lot of great videos and fan art that's worth checking out. They too have gotten crafty. Check out their pennants and papercraft!

Speed Skating

Today's post is dedicated to speed skating, and to CC who is a big fan of the sport. CC asked about Quatchi's speed skating abilities and it seems like he's quite the natural. Both him and Miga have excellent technique. Their suits look pretty spiffy too.

Here's Quatchi in action at the Richmond Olympic Oval. If you're in town, you should definitely check out the venue. It's quite impressive, inside and out.

Q will be watching short track tonight. There are a bunch of events starting at 8 p.m. EST. Go Canada!

NFL: New Football Lover

McQuatch

Q recently acquired two new toys, which are available for a limited time only at participating McDonald's locations in Canada. They come with the Happy Meal but you can buy them separately for $2.25 each.

Both of the toys are on wheels. The bobsledding Quatchi and Miga toy bops up and down when you move it. When you move the goalie Quatchi toy, he looks like he's making a great save.

There are eight toys in total featuring Qutachi, Miga, and Sumi doing different sports. The other two Quatchi toys are of him ski jumping and luging. Q hopes to collect a few more. People are already selling them on eBay!
